An Afternoon in the Delta...

After first talking ourselves out of it, we decided to head over to the Mississippi Delta, more specifically Indianola and Belzoni for the afternoon. We stopped in Indianola and ate lunch at the Crown Restaurant. It was a great meal and we met some terrific and nice people. It was definitely the highlight of the afternoon. After lunch, we headed south to the Catfish Capital of the World, Belzoni, MS. Unlike their catfish, the Annual World Catfish Festival doesn't compare. It used to be one of the largest and best outdoor arts and crafts festivals in Mississippi. However, it has fallen on hard times. We stayed for less than an hour before heading back to Starkvegas. But, lunch was good, and now we know about the Catfish Festival.
