First Splash

Well, I have officially advanced to a bath tub now. I celebrated by peeing in the water and then I made bubbles. Oh so much fun...you should have seen the look on Mommy and Daddy. Here are a few pics of the momentous occasion. I'm quite fond of the second pic...I call it "The Thinker".

Hanging with the Parentals at Tourney Time

Will and his parents got to enjoy their first taste of March Madness together. State lost to UW, but at least the Tarheels advanced. As usual, Will was quite picturesque. Enjoy...we did.

First Trip to Campus and some Funnies

Will took his first trip to MSU yesterday. Getting the brain stimulation going early, his parents took him to the library. :-)

Pete was trying to catch up on attention recently by planting himself on top of Brandy. Athena took refuge in the dog's bed.

Pics, Pics, and More Pics

But stay tuned...video coming soon.

Mommy and Daddy at Home is Great!

Just a few more random pics for all of you. Weekends are filled with tons of pictures...

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hey all...sorry, it's been a few days since an update. Let's just blame it on getting accustomed to Will's schedule. Everyone is doing well. He's up to 8 lbs, 13 oz. and is now 22 inches long. Getting bigger...facial expressions are ridiculously cute.

On St. Paddy's Day, Will got to meet his friend, Delia Dixon for the first time. Delia, Grady, and Melissa brought over some BBQ for the exhausted parents. Also, Will met friends Michael and Emily Waters for the first time. Thanks to Grady, Melissa, Michael, and Emily for the dinner reinforcements. Very much appreciated!!!

Fun with Pics

Here are a few more pics...

Will is just about to work through his jaundice. His bilirubin count had come down after a day in the "tanning bed". We're about to leave for another quick blood test to get the latest read. Hopefully, we'll be able to stay away from the hospital for awhile.

Like Father, Like Son

Will and his Swing

Thank goodness for digital cameras, huh? I'm snapping pictures left and right. Enjoy...

A Couple of New Updates...

Here are a few updates...more to come later. Computer time is a luxury at the moment, but I'll get them up today. The last one is actually a BIG yawn...not a BIG Cry.

Back at the house for a few brief moments....here are a few more pics from tonight. Brandy and Will are doing great. I'm hanging in there too.

Hello World: Introducing William Christopher Akers

Hey folks...Brandy wanted me to come home a pick up a few extra things and she asked me to go ahead and load the pics. First off...Brandy did fantastic. Will was 8 lbs, 8 oz. and 21 inches long when he was born at 12:47 pm this afternoon. Daddy had the waterworks flowing at first sight. He had a tough delivery and needed some oxygen at first and then got whisked off to the nursery. So, unfortunately no pics of Will and his proud parents yet. Stay tuned....

Before I left, I got the thumbs up from the nursery staff...so, he is doing well. He may not be a fan of the pic attached down the road, but his parents thought it was a good idea. Besides, we'll have moved on to bigger and more tech savvy things than blogs by the time he's old enough to care.

He's a fiesty one. I overheard that he relieved himself all over the nurse that was attending him. Good Boy Will...Good Boy. I carried him from the delivery room to the nursery, and I've got to tell you...it is true what they say...instant life changer. All you parents were right...

More later...

By the way...first pic is Brandy....ready for the day. Let's just say that smile went away for awhile, but it's back now. I'm heading back to the hospital.

Love to all....

Ryan and Brandy...and Baby Will.
