Harvard, Check...Next Up, Boston

We had planned for Brandy to come up after I was done at Harvard, so she flew in on Friday and we set out to explore one of our favorite cities again. We had a fantastic time while we were up there, despite the crazy New England weather. It started raining and dropped 30 degrees on the day she flew in. But we still managed to hit our favorite restaurant, Union Oyster House (the oldest continually operating restaurant in the country) and even added to the list of favorites...Pizzeria Regina (fabulous), the Black Rose, and Mike's Pastries. We also saw the Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse and CATS at the Colonial Theatre. Brandy fell asleep during CATS, so we left at the intermission. Haha! We also toured Sam Adams and went to the original Cheers, saw the Boston Harbor, walked by the Statehouse and through Boston Common, reenacted a famous scene from my favorite movie (Good Will Hunting) at the Au Bon Pain in Harvard Square, walked through the North End (Boston's Italian neighborhood), and had a frigid night at Fenway. We sat through 39 degree game time temps to see the Red Sox play the Rays. A whirlwind trip...but fantastic nonetheless. Boston remains one of our favorites.
